ZHEJIANG UNIVERSITY es una de las instituciones más antiguas y prestigiosas de China, fundada en 1897, con una historia de más de 120 años.

ZJU es miembro de la liga C9 de las Universidades Elite (algo así como una Ivy League de EE.UU.) y ranking entre las 5 mejores en China y TOP 100 mejores del mundo.

La universidad está situada en la ciudad jardín de Hangzhou y el campus es absolutamente precioso (en un sentido moderno). La Universidad de Zhejiang es un lugar ideal para estudiar y conocer China.

Los campos de estudio de la Universidad de Zhejiang cubren filosofía, literatura, historia, educación, ciencia, economía, derecho, administración, ingeniería, agricultura, medicina, etc. La universidad, ahora tiene 113 especialidades para estudios de pregrado, y tiene derecho a otorgar maestría grados en 324 programas y grados de doctorado de disciplina primaria (secundaria) en 41 (252) programas.

También hay cerca de 37,000 estudiantes tomando cursos en programas de grado y sin título en educación para adultos.

Entre sus 8.299 miembros del personal y trabajadores, hay 15 miembros de la Academia de Ciencias de China, 12 miembros de la Academia China de Ingeniería, más de 1.292 profesores titulares y más de 2.455 profesores asociados.
